What is Shockwave?
My first assignment in the online content world was to play with
various subscription services. One in particular stuck out -
Shockwave.com UNLIMITED. Shockwave is an online casual gaming
site and it was created with me in mind. Actually I fit the demographic
of the online casual gamer perfectly (working women of a certain age),
but I found lots of my friends and family in all age groups and both
male and female love Shockwave.
The Features:
Shockwave features over 400 games and premium subscribers don’t have
any ads or game timeouts. You won’t be prompted to purchase the games
either- it is all included in your subscription fee. The fees are
$9.95/month billed monthly or $4.95/month billed annually ($59.40
billed once a year).
My Favorite Games: My
favorite games are the Super Granny series and the Diner Dash series.
They both have three versions of the games which keep me busy for a
long time. Super Granny goes through various worlds saving her kittens
from the evil Dr. Meow and Mr. Fang. In Diner Dash you help Flo seat,
serve, and clear tables in a variety of restaurants- this is one of the
most popular online games. Both of these games are downloadable so you
can play them right from your desktop. Some of the games are played
online- one of my favorites is Daily Sudoku. Sadly I have been sucked
into the Sudoku craze and I love getting three new puzzles daily. You
can post your score and see how you stack up against the competition- I
still don't know how people finish in 44 seconds!
Who it is good for: Anyone who likes to play online games! I highly suggest that you give Shockwave.com UNLIMITED a try- they even have a 10 day free trial so you can be sure it is as much fun as I promised.
